 Welcome to an international celebration!

The Lahti International Fellowship group's Fall Camp is the first weekend of October. We're calling it "Praise With the Nations -- Lahti LIFE!"

Activities start on Friday, 1 October, with a two-hour musical celebration. Two singing groups with backup bands, and several solo performers, will take center stage from 8-10 p.m. at the Lahti Pentecostal Church.  Drop your cares and celebrate God's wonders!

On Saturday, 2 October, at about 11 a.m. we'll meet at the church then go out to Kotiranta. Dr. Irmeli Schüz, M.D., and  Dr. Wolfram Schüz, PhD., have kindly agreed to lead two sessions of worship and Bible study. And there will be much more music!

There's plenty of free time built in, so people who wish to do so may enjoy the wood-fired sauna, or join a focused prayer group, or enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding forest and lake.

Look for more details as the date approaches!

LIFE meets at 11 a.m. this Sunday

Each first Sunday, our group attends the morning service at the Lahti Pentecostal Church. This is when the church offers Holy Communion.

All international friends are invited to attend the service. Map.

Translation into English and Swahili is provided. If you know someone who wants to come but speaks another international language (Russian, Arabic, etc.) please contact us ahead of time so we can find the appropriate translator from among our members and support network.

To learn more about the LIFE group, speak with Frances Hume, Timo Kekolahti, or call the Lahti Pentecostal Church office. Contact details are found on the Contact Information page.

LIFE invites you to meet new friends

People from many nations are living in Lahti. Whether students or professionals, families or singles, you are all welcomed into fellowship. Share time and activities with people who understand what it's like to be a stranger in a strange land.

LIFE group activities are planned for every Sunday.

On the first Sunday of each month we meet at 11 a.m. for the communion service in the church. All other meetings are at 4 p.m.

Sometimes we go to special events sponsored by the church, or go do some fun things to build friendships.  If you're not sure what we're doing or when, you can always call or send a text message to Fran. 045 138 7335.

Come to one activity or come to them all. Look in the Events Calendar for details.

Our group is hosted by the Lahti Pentecostal Church. Information and a map to the church is located on the Pentecostal Church Lahti page. Click here.

You are not alone.

People here want to extend their hand to you in friendship, but they don't know who you are. That's why the LIFE group exists. LIFE stands for Lahti International Fellowship.

LIFE supports English, Russian and Swahili languages. Many other languages are spoken by members and friends.

If you know someone here who is isolated by language, please contact us.

We want to meet and support foreigners who find themselves isolated in this strange land.

If a person does not speak Finnish, living here is extremely difficult. Adjusting to life is especially challenging. Knowing someone who speaks your language can sometimes be a big help.

Living here presents all sorts of practical challenges. We try to help you sort through them, give you resources, walk alongside you through the most difficult times.

LIFE is sponsored by the Lahti Pentecostal Church. Its leaders follow Christian principles. Members are free to believe as they choose.

Because our members come from many countries, we understand many mother tongues. This allows us to serve people who don't know any of the international languages.

Because many of our church members served for many years in mission fields around the world, we can usually find someone who understands French, Chinese, Persian, Arabic, Spanish, Swahili, Urdu, Dinka ... even Mongolian!
